Heater Fault — ABB AZ10

This alarm indicates a failure in the zirconia sensor heater circuit. A stable heater is critical for accurate oxygen measurement.

Recommended Diagnostic Sequence

1) Verify heater power supply voltage at the analyzer terminals. Confirm no loose or burnt connections.
2) Check for blown fuses, tripped breakers, or PSU alarms related to the heater circuit.
3) Measure heater resistance and compare it with the manufacturer’s specification.
4) Inspect heater wiring and connectors for heat damage or moisture ingress.
5) If the heater element is open or out of range, replace it with an OEM-approved heater assembly.
Technician note: Heater faults are often caused by voltage instability, moisture ingress, or aged heater elements — not controller failure.
