Sensor Fault — ABB AZ10
This alarm indicates a problem with the zirconia oxygen sensor or its signal path. Sensor condition and wiring integrity are critical for stable measurement.
Recommended Diagnostic Sequence
1) Check sensor wiring, connectors, and terminal blocks
for looseness, corrosion, or damage.
2) Inspect the sensor for contamination, cracking,
or physical damage caused by process conditions.
3) Reset the analyzer and observe sensor warm-up behavior
and output stability.
4) Verify heater operation and reference gas flow,
as these can trigger false sensor fault indications.
5) If the fault persists after checks,
replace the sensor according to ABB service instructions.
Technician note:
Many “sensor faults” are secondary effects of heater,
reference air, or sampling problems — verify those first.
