Troubleshooting & Procedures

Practical field reference: overview, calibration, maintenance, and shared AZ alarms.

Overview

The ABB AZ20 is suitable for industrial combustion processes with mid-level accuracy and extended diagnostics for stable O₂ measurement.

Calibration

Perform zero, span, and reference gas calibration as per the manual. Use diagnostics tools to confirm sensor stability and response.

Field tip: If calibration shifts often, check sample leaks, moisture/condensation, and reference path restrictions before blaming the sensor.

Maintenance

Inspect sensors, heaters, and reference gas/air path periodically. Replace components as recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Check filter condition and sample flow stability
  • Confirm heater temperature stability (no hunting)
  • Verify reference/air path is clean and dry
  • Check wiring/earth for noise issues

Common Alarms

All AZ Series alarms are in the shared AZ alarm folder.
