Troubleshooting & Procedures

Field-oriented guidance covering operation, calibration, maintenance, and shared AZ alarms.

Overview

The ABB AZ25 is designed for industrial combustion monitoring where higher stability and enhanced diagnostics are required compared to entry-level analyzers.

Calibration

Perform zero, span, and reference gas calibration as per manufacturer instructions. Use diagnostic menus to confirm sensor response and stability.

Field tip: Frequent calibration failures usually indicate leaks, moisture ingress, reference path restriction, or heater instability.

Maintenance

Routine maintenance improves reliability and reduces nuisance alarms.

  • Inspect sensor condition and response time
  • Verify heater temperature stability
  • Check sample filters and flow
  • Confirm reference gas/air path is clean and dry
  • Inspect wiring and grounding

Common Alarms

AZ-series alarms (AZ10 / AZ20 / AZ25) share common diagnostics and logic.
